About Jaen
Jaen is an inland province of Andalucia, famous for being the largest producer of olive oil worldwide, besides being known for its important monuments. In the city Jaen there are sights not to be missed during your visit, such as the Castle of Santa Catalina built between the thirteenth and the fourteenth century. From the Castle located at 820 meters above sea level you can see a cross along with an unparalleled view of the city.
The Cathedral of Jaen is one of the mandatory stops, a religious building in Renaissance style which although it began to be built in the middle of the thirteenth century it was not until the eighteenth century when it was completed. On the other hand, you could also be interested in a visit to the Palace of Villardompardo, which has in its interior a XI century Arab bath. We can recommend a walk through the extraordinary Boulevard Park, the Jaen Museum for art lovers and if you have time visit Ubeda and Baeza, two wonderful towns of the province.
